Bluetooth

INVENTOR OF BLUETOOTH:
                                           Bluetooth device was first invented by Dr. jaap haarsten when he was working at Ericsson in 1990s .He worked with Ericsson engineers to brings Bluetooth to the market and he has been nominated as a finalist by the European patent office in the industry category for its European inventor award and European patent office named him “Father of Bluetooth”. 



Bluetooth definition:
                            Bluetooth is a method for data communication that use short range radio links to replace cables between computers and their interconnected units.

Applications:
  • Computer accessories 
  • PDA’s
  • Cable less connection to printers
  • Headsets. 
  • Use e-mails while your portable pc is still in the briefcase.Multimedia devices.
Why the name bluetooth?
            The word “Bluetooth” is taken from the 10th century Danish king harald Bluetooth, he had been inflectional in uniting Scandinavian tribes into a single kingdom. 

Advantages:
  •  Operating rate upto 100m.
  • freedom from cables.
  • Offer a great deal of possibilities.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Do not need to be configure.
  • Security feature of authentication, authorization or encryption.
  • Low power and low processing.
Disadvantages:
  • Data rate of only 1mbps.
  • Open to interception and attack.
  • Battery use increase on device.
  • Cannot work in a long distance environment.
